"When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them." – Isaiah 41:17
Water, Words, and Worship
I'm thrilled to share the incredible news from our latest water well installation in Mtsatula Village, a remote community in the Lilongwe District of Malawi. As we arrived, we were greeted with joyful songs of thanksgiving to God, and a sea of faces eager to see their dream of clean water become a reality.
The excitement was palpable, with one villager exclaiming, "A car in our village?!" - a testament to the rarity of visitors in this rural area. But we didn't just bring a car - we brought hope and the gift of clean water. Reaching the Hungry's 122nd water well in Malawi is now up and running, and we had the privilege of sharing the Good News with the community as we dedicated this life-changing resource to their care. Martha and her team led a powerful outreach, focusing on Women's Health and Children's Ministry, while my team worked tirelessly to complete the installation before it began raining.
But the most exciting news of all is that the chief and many members of the community received Jesus as their Lord and Savior! That evening, we showed the Jesus film to hundreds of people, and over 90% of the gathering made the decision to follow Jesus. We're grateful for the support of Pastor Carlos and all of Reaching the Hungry's donors who made this possible. Thank you for being part of this life-changing work!
A gift from you paves the way for more life-saving stories like that of Mtsatula Village for years to come. If you'd like to help save an ENTIRE village with clean drinking water, click below:
