OUR RTH MALAWI TEAM
Serving in Lilongwe, Malawi
We have an incredible ministry team serving in Lilongwe that is led by Joshua and Martha. They are remarkable stewards of God's resources who would love to share with you a little about themselves and the work they're doing to grow God's Kingdom.

JOSHUA JOSOPHAT KALIMWAYI
RtH-Malawi Team Leader
Hi! My name is Joshua and I'm a pastor who by the grace of God received God's call to ministry in 2014.
In preparation to serve in ministry, I went through theological seminary in 2015-2018. In 2018, I finished that three-year course of Theological Studies and then joined Africa Nazarene University in Nairobi Kenya for my undergraduate degree — which I received in 2023. While in school, I enjoyed serving with various ministries which enabled me to engage in evangelism, church planting, teaching, and preaching — all of which fostered my growth as a disciple of Christ and strengthened my skills as a ministry leader.
In September 2023, I joined RtH-Malawi Staff as the Coordinator of Sustainability Development working directly with the ministry team. My main responsibility is to help fund ministry for RtH-Malawi. On June 8, 2024, I married the love of my life Egrita "Happiness" Banda.

MARTHA FAVOUR TAMBALA
Women's and Children's Ministry Coordinator
Hi there! My name is Martha Tambala Mapulanga, and I am a servant of God. I'm married to Feleston Mapulanga, we have one child, his name is Travis Joshua.
Firstly, I would like to share my educational background. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship, which I obtained from Nkhoma University in 2019. During my time at the university, I was passionate about serving others, which led me to join volunteer work at Chisomo Idea, a Christian NGO that mentors less privileged kids and youths in Lilongwe. I also worked with When the Saints, a Christian NGO that supports and educates girls who have been sexually, emotionally, and physically abused, in 2016. These experiences deepened my passion for serving Christ.
Furthermore, in my fourth year at Nkhoma University, around 2018, I joined Reaching the Hungry on a volunteer basis. Serving with Reaching the Hungry has allowed me to fulfill my dream of serving Christ with passion. I have the opportunity to work with wonderful & amazing Malawian and USA Team members who have mentored me to become a trainer in Women's Ministry and Children's Ministry. I am responsible for planning, recruiting, and preparing for women's and children's ministry, as well as taking care of ministry equipment.
